DJ PROPHET BIO: Dj Prophet found his love for music in the early stages of his life. Hailing from the Islands of Trinidad & Tobago Prophet grew fond of his native music: Reggae, Soca, and Calypso. His exposure to the music later on earned him his stripes as a 'Caribbean Selector' living and breathing the sounds of the Islands. In the mid 90's Prophet then moved to Miami, Fl. which opened his eyes to yet a whole new world. Now living in the U.S. Prophet slowly adapted to the foreign lifestyle and thus, his love for the Hip Hop culture begun. This new found love propelled him to study and learn the meaning and history behind the music which earned him yet another notch on his belt as a Dj. After spending a couple more years in Miami Prophet then moved to Tampa, Fl. where he went to high school and later on college. By the year 2000, Prophet decided to take his passion for music to a whole new level. Working side by side with other local Djs he quickly learned and mastered the art of mixing, scratching, blending and most importantly, selecting. A couple years later Prophet ventured off on his own starting his own Dj Sound System Group, Insurgent Sound with some of the best local & national Djs all over the Globe. Rocking countless Clubs, Parties, Events etc. and Opening for various major label Hip hop, Reggae and Latin artists Prophet is one of the most well known and versatile open format Djs of his time. Prophet is currently working on making Insurgent Sound a world wide Dj Corporation and is currently an official NUVO DJ amongst other world wide Dj organizations. Prophet continues to make his mark in the music industry producing, mixing & mastering his own Mixtapes/Remixes/Blends and breaking new artists and talent.
